entry guidelines, category descriptions & sample requirement

overview

  • All growing styles, feeding methods, and nutrient lineups (salts or organics) are allowed in every category except for Living Soil, which must use only Living Soil and organic amendments.
  • Entry fees include admission to the Awards Ceremony for the competitor
  • Guests must purchase tickets separately in they're not competing
  • Brands / Breeders must enter under the "Pro / Brand" Category and cannot compete in general flower categories.

sample size requirements

Each entry must provide a set amount to ensure fair and thorough judging while allowing for public participation in the People’s Choice Award. Here’s how the breakdown works:

Flower Entries (22g per entry)

  • 15 Judging Packs – Small samples distributed among official competition judges
  • 5 Special Guest Judges – A select panel of expert guest judges
  • 2g for People’s Choice Display – Placed on display for attendees to view and evaluate for the People’s Choice Award

Hash Entries (4g per entry)

  • 10 Judging Packs – Quarter-gram portions provided to competition judges
  • 5 Special Guest Judges – Individual samples given to guest judges
  • Small Display Sample – A portion set aside for public viewing in the People’s Choice category

This system ensures that all judges get equal portions to evaluate while allowing the community to engage with the competition.
