We’re thrilled to announce The Lil Bean Team’s Illinois Cannabis & Hash Competition (ICHC) 2025—a dynamic three-event series celebrating excellence in cannabis cultivation, hash creation, and community engagement! Whether you’re a grower, hash maker, enthusiast, or simply a fan of cannabis culture, this is your opportunity to shine, learn, and connect.
To ensure fairness, transparency, and integrity, the ICHC will establish an Oversight Committee. This committee will consist of four or more respected leaders from the cannabis culture and community, selected for their expertise, contributions, and dedication to upholding the values of fairness and inclusivity.
Responsibilities: Establishing Judging Guidelines:
Developing clear, unbiased criteria for evaluating entries in all flower categories.
Providing guidance and training to judges to ensure consistency.
Overseeing Judging Process:
Selecting and approving a diverse, impartial panel of judges.
Monitoring the judging process to ensure all entries are evaluated fairly and anonymously.
Managing Confidentiality and Concerns:
Ensuring competitor identities and sample submissions remain confidential.
Addressing disputes or concerns raised during the competition in an impartial manner.
Auditing and Verifying Results:
Reviewing all judging and voting results to ensure accuracy and transparency before announcing winners.
Annual Selection Process:
Each year, the ICHC organizers will select members to serve on the Oversight Committee. These individuals will be chosen based on their leadership within the cannabis community and their alignment with the competition’s values. Returning members may be reselected annually to maintain continuity, while allowing opportunities for new voices to contribute.
By forming this Oversight Committee, the ICHC ensures a transparent and trusted competition that celebrates the excellence of cannabis cultivators while fostering community trust and respect.
Why This System Works:
- This system prioritizes transparency, fairness, and inclusivity!
- Advanced Preparation: Judges have adequate time to fully evaluate each sample.
- Visibility: Samples are displayed to attendees for real-time engagement.
- Inclusivity: Both expert judges and the community participate in the evaluation process.
